To take the examination, apply for a short-stay visa at the Japanese embassy or a Japanese consulate general in your country. When applying for the visa, state that the purpose of coming to Japan is to take an examination, so that it will be specified on your visa.

Ask the embassy or consulate general for details such as the application procedure beforehand, so that you will be able to come to Japan in time for the examination. See below for the details.

Procedure after announcement of admission

Contact your academic supervisor by e-mail.

  • Application for status of residence
It is necessary for international students to obtain the status of residence for studying at a Japanese university. See the website below for the application procedure.
  • When we receive the authorization for residence eligibility, we will send it to you. As soon as you receive it, apply for the visa at the Japanese embassy or a Japanese consulate general in your country.
  • Once you have received the approval for the visa, plan your schedule for coming to Japan and contact your prospective academic supervisor and the student office of the Health Science Division beforehand.
